Are you interested in human rights? Do you want to learn about the prevention of human trafficking and help create awareness for the situation of domestic workers? Then the internship at the Center for Development Initiatives (CDI) in Guwahati, India is perfect for you!
The Centre for Development Initiatives (CDI) is a Christian Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) which works to improve the lives of women and children as a preventative measure against unsafe migration and human trafficking. It is run by sisters from Missionary Sisters of Mary Help of Christians (MSMHC) and employed staff. CDI works with domestic workers and school dropouts and organises education, awareness programs and vocational trainings. At the NGO you can gain insights into different fields depending on your interests and skills including among others public relations/communication, finance, fundraising or project management. You will mainly work at our head office in Guwahati but if wanted you can also spend some time in the project areas in Assam and Meghalaya.
Dates and duration are flexible but you should come for at least 3 months. The internship is unpaid but accommodation and food will be provided against a donation.

Anforderungen
Internship Criteria
Required
- English skills: B1
- Dedicated and passionate for our work
- Open Minded regarding religion / catholicism
- Good handling of MS Office
- independent and structured way of working
- good communication skills
- Eligible to receive a visa for India
Preferred
- Knowledge and practical experience in the field of human trafficking and migration
- Experience in fundraising is a plus
