    The KBB - Kulturveranstaltungen des Bundes in Berlin GmbH - forms the common foundation for three inspiring cultural institutions: the Berlin International Film Festival, the House of World Cultures (HKW) and the Berliner Festspiele with the festival house and its exhibition hall, the Gropius Bau.The Berlin International Film Festival, a business division of the KBB, is one of the most important cultural events of the city, one of the most important occurrences for the international film industry and at the same time the biggest festivals for a public audience.

    For the realization of the 74th Berlinale
    we offer from 12th February 2024 until 26th February 2024


    Full-time Festival Internships (m/f/d)

    Your tasks - create, contribute, participate.

    - The internship offers the possibility to catch a glimpse behind the scenes of one of the largest public film festivals in the world. Within the two weeks interns are able to get an insight into different festival sections, the European Film Market or Berlinale Talents by working with accreditation, guest services or as part of the team in our cinemas. A range of detailed information on facts, figures, organization and working methods of the Berlinale will also be provided.

    - The internship is for trainees and students of all faculties wishing to undertake a short internship to accompany their studies or training (no leave of absence, no graduates) or to those who wish to do an orientation internship at Berlinale 2024 before commencing a first training or studies.

    - Please note that all non-EU citizens require a temporary work permit (visa) for the internship. These are only issued to students registered with a non-German higher education institution.

    - The internship will be remunerated with 260,00 Euro gross.

    - The weekly working time is 39 hours and also can take place in the evenings and on both weekends.

    Our requirements – Your profile.

    - Be passionate about Berlinale

    - Be available without any time restrictions during the 14 days of the internship on all weekdays

    - Be willing to work evenings and/or weekends

    - Have English and German skills according to the Common European Framework level B2

    - Additional language skills are advantageous

    - Non-EU applicants require a temporary work permit (visa)
