The Institute of Space Technology and Space Applications (former Institute of Geodesy and Navigation) at the University of the Federal Armed Forces Munich was founded in 1983 and is responsible for teaching and research in the fields of Satellite Navigation, Innertial Navigation, Signal Processing, Satellite Methods and Geodesy.
The Institute has an average staff of about full-time employed 20 scientists from different disciplines: telecommunications, electronics, aeronautical engineering, computer science and geodesy, in order to come up with the optimal solution for each task on this complex multidisciplinary field.
